Sie wurde durch das Erdbeben von 1693 weitgehend zerst\u00f6rt, so dass heute nur noch das Portal aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, das einzige erhaltene Element, sowie einige Mauern der Seitenkapellen und des Presbyteriums sichtbar sind. Das Gel\u00e4nde in der N\u00e4he des eindrucksvollen Hyblean-Gartens wurde einer umfassenden Konsolidierung und arch\u00e4ologischen Ausgrabungen unterzogen, die den urspr\u00fcnglichen Grundriss und die Fundamente der Kirche ans Licht brachten. Heute kann das Areal frei besichtigt werden, bereichert durch Erl\u00e4uterungstafeln, die den Besuchern die Geschichte und die mittelalterliche Architektur von Ragusa und seiner Umgebung n\u00e4her bringen. Der Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger Pfad rund um die St\u00e4tte bietet einen faszinierenden Einblick in die tausendj\u00e4hrige Geschichte der Stadt und wertet dieses bedeutende kulturelle und religi\u00f6se Erbe auf.
