Ispica

“Where the Baroque meets the authentic flavor of Sicily”

Discovering Ispica

Nestled on a plateau overlooking the Mediterranean, Ispica is a city that intertwines nature, history, and architecture in a unique balance.

A custodian of ancient caves carved into the rock and evocative Baroque settings, he tells visitors about a past rooted in prehistory and elegantly opens up to art and spirituality.

The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore with its colonnade, the loggia that frames the square, the noble palaces and the bright streets: every corner of Ispica invites you to slow down, to look and to be enchanted.

Walking through its streets, one breathes an atmosphere that combines the quiet of ancient places with the warmth of Sicilian daily life.
