Languages of a high poetic narrative, weaned from petty ideologies, that brings to Scicli a confrontation on photography, historically less practiced by the Quam gallery, in which the action of the shot, or even the action on the image, show a complex and layered research. In contrast, the authors of the pictorial area, propose an evolved and sophisticated language, in which the human gesture has become abstract, ethereal and lyrical, allowing an exchange from close up. This historical contraction of distances between the languages of photography and painting allows for a real reading of affinities, but most importantly, says Antonio Sarnari, “it allows us to see the contaminations that have flowed from painting to photography and vice versa over the past fifty years.”
