The “Baroque Land” will be one of the protagonists of the 43rd edition of BIT, the International Tourism Exchange in Milan. Within the booth of the Sicilian Region, the DMO “Enjoy Barocco – Sicilian Experience” will officially present the wonders of this unique destination on Feb. 14.
The DMO “Enjoy Barocco” unites the municipalities of Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, Ispica and Santa Croce Camerina, located in the GAL Terra Barocca area. A synergy together with more than 70 partners from the tourism and accommodation sector. The goal? To promote tourism and boost the competitiveness of this corner of Sicily.
At the BIT in Milan, “Enjoy Barocco” will unveil the peculiarities of the “Baroque Land”: a blue flag sea, fine sandy beaches, enchanting countryside and world heritage monuments. Excellent gastronomy and quality agriculture further enrich the cultural offerings, making this area an unmissable destination. All these elements come together in a single tourist itinerary, the result of a participatory process that enhances the destination in a sustainable way.
On this special occasion, “Enjoy Barocco” will premiere a video made by “Lonely Planet.”
This visual narrative guides visitors through an exciting 48-hour itinerary, capturing the essence of Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, Ispica and Santa Croce Camerina.
The video uses evocative images and exceptional testimonials to tell the unique identity of these municipalities in an engaging and modern way, celebrating art, culture, folklore, food, nature, sea and the warm local welcome.
The meeting will be attended by Carmelo Saccone, representative of the DMO, Marco Platania, professor at the University of Catania and coordinator of the “Enjoy Barocco” tourism master plan, Salvatore Occhipinti, director of GAL Terra Barocca, and Angelo Pittro, director of Lonely Planet Italy.
